Where the Gazette fits, from Jirania
There is no Gazette counter in Jirania, in Agartala, or anywhere in Tripura. The file goes to one office in Delhi, so where in the sub-division you live changes nothing here. It is also worth repeating that a Gazette does not correct a birth certificate, a mark sheet or a caste certificate. It supports a name change; it does not overrule another authority's record.
